| Note | Superb specimen with moderate pattern coloring and excellent morphological display of symmetry and balance. The specimen displays distinct patterning, intense on the ventral and lateral sides, subtle violet color toned axial rings on the spire and modestly glossed body whorl. Heavy specimen with exceptional ventral body/aperture gloss and coloring for the species (106.2 grams). Collected by diver at 23-25 meters on hard reef between grass and algae off Hospital Point, Guam, Western Pacific. The shell shows a "algae" mark on the posterior portion of the siphonal lip edge as seen in the central image, protoconch erosion, and dull area on the ventral spire. Grade: F++. |
