| Note | Notable Hawaiian specimen with an excellent weight/size ratio and intense rich nacre gloss (39.6 grams). The shell has a thick calloused base with a typical distribution of glazed tubercules (bumps) along the labral margin. Deep colors with four impressive and definitive blush red dorsal bands. Purple teeth complement the pristine base without the typical subnacre indentations. The specimen displays no observable growth folds. Taken off East Shore Oahu, Hawaii at 20-25 meters on a Scuba night dive, while hidden in a cave crevice circa 2015. Grade: GEM minus. |
