| Note | Splendid inflated specimen with a dramatic crisp and perfectly symmetrical dorsal line with exquisite dorsal lacunae. A shell pattern for the ages.The shell displays a rich thick nacre, perfect extremities and thick accentuated margins. Beautiful combination of flesh/nude/pink colors on the base with pinkish pigmentation on the extremities. Solid elongate and inflated mappa with strong weight/size ratio (66.8 grams). Collected off Masbate Island, west of Samar, Philippines at 20 meters by compressor diver in 5/2015. A few insignificant subnacre blemishes and short wobbles on the posterior ramp are present. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
