| Note | Muracypraea mus is a tricky species when it comes to recognize subspecies, varieties and batimetric populations. This particular specimen is small and heavy, squat, with two tubercules (one just hinted), distinct columellar teeth all throughout, no dark basal blotch, white interior. These features, together with the reported origin (trawled by Colombian fishermen in 25-30 mt on sand-seagrass bottom) would place the shell in the subpopulation with short anterior extremity of the mus donmoorei group.
