| Note | Unusually small armeniaca with a cider orange dorsal botch, thick glossy nacre and perfect extremities that are highlighted by darker flesh/nude/desert sand brown pigmmentation. The shell shows a hyper-glazed nude and pastel brown/peach pigmented base and margins. The specimen is a miniature example of armeniaca westralia, which are typically 85-100 millimeters in length. Trawled at 120-140 meters off the western Great Australian Bight, Eucla, Western Australia. There is present a small mild palpable and glazed wobble on the posterior labral ramp, not visible in images. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
