| Note | Lovely and heavy standout beauty from the western Pacific (30.8 grams). The shell features the classic talpa four transverse dark brown bands fused on the primary mustard hued sparkling dorsum. The talpa displays ultra high raised black/brown lateral/margin walls that circumferentially include both extremities framing the dorsum. The shell exhibits perfect siphons and an impressive chocolate base with dark brown aperture teeth. There are no diffuse color gradient lines on the dorsum. Taken by compressor diver at 10-12 meters on a large reef off Bohol, Philippines in 2014. The shell shows nacre negligible crease on the mid-labral anterior wall and a small white glazed algae area on the labral anterior extremity aperture teeth, as seen in the base (ventral) image.. Grade: F+++. |
