A species that has been causing confusion for a long time. Some prominent researchers believe it is another synonym for Muricanthus radix, a form believed in recent studies to be Muricanthus ambiguus. Worms specifies it as an accepted species. It is generally found more often in Costa Rica. Although this species is also found in Mexico, it is rarely seen and is confused with juveniles of Muricanthus ambiguus and radix. This specimen maintains the classic coloration of the species with light tones and a white background with the tips of the spines in light and white tones. Something very curious about this specimen is that the shoulder spines are divided in two, something that is sometimes noticeable in specimens of this species. The coloration between the white background and the dominant brown is in bands. Super rare species absent virtually most. Hard to get specimens nowadays.
