DESCRIBED NOT SO LONG AGO BY MUREX EXPERT HOUART: IN 2011 ONLY. A sister species of the scolopax and the poppei in some way, but definitely valid and different. This Murex has a very large body and a more greyish-brown coloration compared to other members of the genus. A specimen with operculum and of big size: a stunning 140+ mm. This is museum level because of the size.
