| Note | THE MUCH SOUGHT AFTER YOUNG HARPA. One Harpa that divers never get to see is the kajiyamai as it lives a little too deep for most of us. All kajiyamai come up splendidly clean, which suggest a life inside the sands, as do the articularis: they only emerge to grab a sea urchin and then back in the black world of mud and sand below the sea bottom. A grand rarity and much sought after in HARPIDAE has always been the YOUNG shells. And here, all in this auction set turns around the small one of astunning 27.3 mm and with a reddish coloration. The red is saturated already and will not change any longer. We added from the same fisherman a strongly, unusually well colored 40+ mm kajiyamai, and a well sized "typical" piece.
