| Note | Unique mature specimen with an unusually dispersed and very collectable dorsal spotting pattern (47.1 grams). The shell is wide laterally, has a dark chocolate brown base and modest tuberculation of the anterior and posterior margins. Unique white/creme colored dorsum with classic pops-out maculae, notable rostration and intense big dot lateral wall spotting. Flawless base, excellent nacre gloss and seamless extremities. Taken by Scuba diver extraordinaire Andrew Edinger at 7-8 meters while feeding on a green spirastrella off Kennedys Beach, east of Esperance, Western Australia in 5/1998. Original hand written data slip from Andrew included. The shell displays one mild palpable fold on the posterior ramp Grade: F+++/GEM. |
