| Note | Exquisite solid, silky like glass specimen of this desirable and coveted Australian Zoila subspecies. Marvelous wide with strong moderate flanging and tuberculated margins with black with brown fused margin coloration. The shell exhibits a thick glossy nacre on a flawless dorsum with two beautiful bronze/brown elongated dorsal windows. The specimen is astounding in hand with an impressive weight to size ratio (21.9 grams). The shell has thick anterior and posterior flanges, perfect margins and extremities. A marvelous shell in overall visual appearance. Scuba diver collected while feasting on a sponge off Albrolhos Islands, Western Australia at 32-34 meters in 2009. EX: Don Pisor. There is a micro-nacre break on the labral anterior margin. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
