| Note | Large, attractive and strongly pigmented cone from north French Polynesia. The shell shows a sharp shoulder, prize pattern on the perfect spire/body whorl with classic dark/light lavender and faded blush/violet banding complemented by one complete central band of egg-shell white longitudinal flammules. Excellent wide shape and form with an intact protococh, spire, thick lip and anal notch. Collected by Scuba diver while buried in sand under rocks at 30-40 meters off Ua Huka Island, Marquesas in 3/2025. The specimen shows a mini/ subtle growth crease mid-dorsally. Grade: GEM minus. |
