Note
Moderately large, dark and exceptionally bulbous specimen from a remote eastern pacific island. The shell is moderately heavy, with acceptable nacre gloss, perfect natural lip and spire. The solid dark brown banding pattern is exquisite, standout violet toned primary body whorl pigmentation. The central band is most remarkable. The specimen was harvested by Scuba diver Paul Kanner off San Benedicto Island, Revillagigedo Archipelago, Eastern Pacific, Baja, Mexico in a rock crevice at 8-10 meters in 3/1986. The shell exhibits roughness of the posterior and anterior natural lip and modest erosion of the protoconch. Grade: F+++.
