NoteDelightful pigmentation and patterning on this superb specimen from a remote locale for the species. The colors are enviable, with apricot, sandstone, apricot and amber hues of flammules with distinctive banding. The shell displays a thick natural lip, sharp coronations, profound axial threads that are punctate anteriorly, porcelain white aperture with three strong axial bands. The shell shows a perfect spire, thick natural lip and body whorl. Collected by Scuba diver at 55-58 meters on sand off Bolo Point, Cape Zampa, Okinawa in 5/1978. The shell shows some light erosion of the protoconch. Grade: F+++/GEM.
