Hard to find and excellent example of a this sought after endemic volute. Perfect protoconch, pinkish aperture, body whorl and spire. Excellent peach/light pink pattern markings with two dashed bands, accentuated by the anterior band. The pigmentation of the shell is impressive, with a beautiful blending of deep pastel and dream coral pigmentation. It features continual plush quasi-tenting over the entire body whorl, excellent nacre gloss, and strong columellar plaits. Trawled at 80-120 meters off Cape Moreton, Queensland, East Australia on sand substrate in 1983. The shell shows a minor shallow chipping posteriorly proximal to the anal notch. Grade: F+++.
