NoteExcellent, elongate and colorful specimen with remarkable features in superb condition. The large murex exhibits perfect flutted and webbed winged varices, exceptional color banding, flawless apex, aperture and an exceptionally long siphonal canal. The shell, when viewed directly from the ventral, exhibits complex fluting, gutters, channels and nodular body whorl morphology, a collectors pride shell. Collected using tangle net at 100-150 meters in 1986 off Aliguay Island, Philippines. Acquired from old collection. Grade: GEM minus.
