| Note | Classic, perfectly inflated specimen that exhibits a symmetrical, balanced and classic display of guttata dorsal spotting. The deep water specimen shows superb nacre gloss, a flawless wide base with superb striping of the teeth climbing the lateral walls. Both walls exhibit moderate callousing. The shell presents with a moderate weight/size ratio (23.3 grams), a wonderful impressive base pattern, strong rostration, perfect extremities and a rich nacre gloss. Taken by fishermen off Katabi, Samal Island, Philippines using tangle nets at 150-200 meters in 2012. Difficult to flaw this specimen. Grade: GEM. |
