| Note | Splendid specimen. The shell shows a heavy, mature and inflated deep nacred dorsum with strong shades of blood/cherry red (72.0 grams). The shell exhibits excellent nacre gloss and a deep luscious wine red base. The nacre gloss is outstanding along with a memorable dorsal line and perfect extremities and base.The specimen has super calloused margins, elegant symmetry and brilliant color. The shell was collected by local divers off Tandag, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. The specimen has several micro-algae spots on the dorsum (view upper left image). Grade: F+++/GEM. |
