| Note | Heavy, inflated, humped and richly nacred specimen with a remarkable deep sandy/ivory/tan dorsum with notable and beautifully arranged spots/maculae. The shell exhibits perfect cream chocolate/grey extremities, cream tan and a porcelain white base and used to have a light blue halo, but is now visibly faded. Pale flesh/tan/beige margins with sparse lateral wall spotting with subtle tuberculation of thick rounded margins and shows a moderate weight/size ratio (49.6 grams). Taken by Scuba diver deep at 15-20 meters from the South Eastern population off Walpole, Western Australia in 2000 while sitting on a Geodia sponge. The specimen shows mild growth creases on the posterior and anterior ramps with some negligible blemishes. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
