| Note | Moderately sized, heavy and super-glazed ultra-nacred specimen that is hard to find because most specimens live in the "crash zone." Amazing shell, heavier than usual, triple thick margins and an lovely color collage dorsally (148.5 grams) The pigmentation and mottled pattern are superb and the shell impact magnified by appreciable perfect extremities, margins and base. The quality of this shell is hard to match compared to other specimens collected from Hawaii. Nabbed at night by Scuba diver at 5 meters off southern Maui, Hawaii in 1/2001. The humpy exhibits one small glazed over wobble mid-dorsum. Grade:GEM minus. |
