NotePretty specimen with extraordinary inflated form and thick calloused margins. The large shell shows excellent inflation, strong rostration and superb nacre gloss. The shell has a strong weight/size ratio (14.2 grams), long thick columellar teeth, and sharp anterior tooth spines. The color and dorsum spotting is crisp, clean and confluent. The shell features chicory brown dorsum pigmentation with intense ivory white lacunae. The base and teeth are porcelain white and flawless. The shell was trawled off Taizhou, East China Sea in 3/2009 at 140 meters. Grade: GEM minus.
