MARVELOUS DARK BROWN EXQUISITE BEAUTY!! Magnificent darkness with the best irregular white dots banding. Exceptional banding spiral ribs all around with wonderful effect. The shell shows a robust elevated shoulder, beautiful pattern on the perfect spire with classic dark brown and white spots around with strong pink intact protoconch. Handsome dark example of a lovely uncommon cone. Intact lip, apex, perfect siphon, original operculum and elegant aperture. The best of the best for the species. Gem minus. This species is uncommon in my region. Apparently, populations are very small, with only a few individuals, and they are usually found in enclosed bays in calm, clear, muddy waters. They are rarely found directly in the open sea or on corals. The periostracum is very dense, like hair on the spire, and very thick and slippery around the body whorl. The animal is bright red-orange with striking colors and tiny black dots. Very hard to find with such incredible conditions and so dark brown colors as this one. Do not miss this unique opportunity to get this uncommon species. Found buried under big stones with brown algae, soft corals and mud about 6m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
