| Note | OUTSTANDING INCREDIBLE SPOTTED AND BANDED COLOR FORM WOOOOW!! Large with 170mm about. An impressive seldom seen pattern conditions in this spectacular species, with the most adorable multiple white background bands all around the body and spire with darker brown spots making a great affect. Even on the underside of the inner lip, these patterns and bands can be clearly seen with exquisite beauty.
This elegant and radiant beauty shows a thick lip with the craziest elongated denticles and extended teeth all around the lip. Extended double and curved columellar lip never seen before, deeper inside the aperture the shell shows an exceptional elevated columellar folds. The ventral side is just a dream for display. The dorsal shows a elegant spiral thick banding ribs all around with superb sculpture and fresh fantastic darker cream colors between the dense banding pattern. Incredible and formidable spire with dense splendid pattern combined with the spiral apex. The most beautiful very extended long lip for the species!! The shell present an Exquisite and Elegant glossy aperture with a porcelain cream colors. Some Natural imperfections like tiny scars and growth marks of life as usual for the species not really detracting the beauty. F++++-F++. For advancer collectors and lovers of this fantastic Family. One of my Favorite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species. They are most night active , They are rarely hunting during the day. Hart to find in the day because they are most complete buried. Superb fresh piece!!! Found buried in sand under huge platforms stones about 8m deep. La Calechosa, Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. November 2025.
