This EXCEPTIONAL specimen, from the ‘old days’ of Panamic availability, was retained in the JES Collection upon account of its QUALITY and BEAUTY, which will be readily appreciated by a Conidae specialist. Extremely rich colour, in conjunction with a minimal pattern, in which the ochre-chestnut ground predominates. Completely devoid of the typical prominent lines of growth, growth disruptions, erosion, and encrustation, which detract from the majority of specimens. Data: Off Pedro González, Archipiéligo de las Perlas, Balboa, Panamá, Panamá; upon reef substrate, under slab; 2-3 m; dived; 1981. Size: 39.7 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
