| Note | An exceptional specmen of this classic Marquesan rarity. Deep, dusky pinkish burgundy dorsum, with rich yellow-cream ventrum. Characteristic highly textured dorsum of multitudinous minute nodules. Now very difficult to obtain at this level of quality and beauty, and becoming ever scarcer, with fewer and fewer fresh specimens being collected. Data: Baie de Hakatea, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands; upon coral reef substrate, under ledge, at night; 15 m; dived; 2022. Size: 23.2 mm. Grading: Gem.
