| Name | Scurria plana - Rare , (R.A.Philippi, 1846) |
| Size | 11.8 and 11.8 mm |
| Locality | Caldera, northern Chile |
| Note | Two representative specimens of the rare and endemic species Scurria plana. This species lives onto rocks and onto the shells of large Fissurella and Chitonidae species and it is endemic of Chile and Peru. These specimens have a very plane shell (as it name indicates), almost flat, and a nice dorsum of the shell which shows the pattern of rays which is quite characteristic of this species. These were collected from shellgrit, so they are offered at a very low initial price. |
