NoteSPECIAL APERTURE OUTER LIP FORM WOOOOW!! The shell is exhibiting a beautiful undulated kind of axial ribs inside the lip with glossy conditions and banding pattern. The aperture is just unique with this open lip formation, growing like the Crucibulum where was found. In the lip side the curved scale shoulder is following the same form in the next almost four scales varices. Beautiful spire and intact apex. Really lovely double band really clearly seen. F+++-F++. A truly exquisite and exotic sculpture. Extremely variable species with all kinds of colors, shapes, patterns, and scales. Choose your favorite in this great auction. A species very adaptable to all types of conditions from deep waters to populations at low tide exposed to the sun light. They usually like shallow and turbid waters rich in nutrients and in estuarine areas with mangroves or where oysters, mussels, Calyptraeidae species and chamas are abundant, which is their main food, they are sea scavenger and I have even found it eating dead fishes between the rocks. Found attached between stones and oysters with mud about 3m to 7m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2026.
