Unusual semi-albinistic and classic example of a distinctive murex from the east Pacific. Excellent body whorl form and three lovely fluted varices, the leading varix is laminate with broad digitations. Lifted off the boulders at 15-20 meters off Palos Verdes by Scuba diver Josef Krejci in 2014. The shell is cream/white/light tan with a porcelain white aperture. Some roughness and erosion of the dorsal leading varix, the protoconch and displaysan intact aperture lip and siphonal canal. Grade: F++/F+++.
