| Note | LONG RESPLENDENT SPINES WITH DARK BROWN COLOR AND THICK LIP WOOOOOW!! Impressive big specimen for the spiny form with brown coloration in every varices, intact spines int the first 4 varices with top long spines conditions. In the ventral side the spine are absent as usual for this large sizes and species. Elegant spire with part of the apex. The thickest posterior lip ever, with colossal thickness and great long multiple spines. F+++.F++.
Extraordinary very high selection of superb Homalocantha oxyacantha with elegant long spines and wonderful sculpture. Most of the open sea specimens are really ugly with several damage, no spines, erosion, absent apex and even spire, scars and simply impossible to clean with thick calcareous attachments. Inside the lagoon of Barra de Navidad there is a population with superb conditions but really hard to find, they camouflage between dense thick mud-algae and most of them are completely buried making almost impossible sometimes to find. Only for professional and advancer divers. Here you can admire a great spiny ones , choose your favorite int this great auction. For advancer collectors and lover of spiny shells. Found in muddy bottom attached between stones about 5-7m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2025. Value for this: large brown long spines with extra thick massive lip : 50-60 euro.
