| Note | Classic example of this smaller Umbilia subspecies. From the base to the dorsum, the tortilla brown spotting and maculae complement the glazed dorsum. The specimen has a shortened anterior extremity with the classic transverse groove. Great symmetry and overall shape to this specimen. Dark and consistent spotting present on both lateral walls.. The shell does show typical and moderate rostration. Taken by Trawler off Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1986 at 120 meters. The specimen exhibits one negligible and insignificant silt stain on the anterior columellar base teeth and darker sand inclusion mid-dorsum. Grade: F+++.
