| Note | Heavy, inflated, humped and thick nacred specimen with a remarkable transverse pattern, perfect extremities, base and lateral walls. Outstanding maculae spotting painted across the dorsum on the soft cream/beige dorsal landscape and light/caffe latte-nude extremity pigmentation. Strong weight/size ratio (54.2 grams) and splendid display of lateral wall spots on the columellar side, complemented by a smokey grey halo. Taken by Scuba diver at 10-20 meters off Mondrain Island, Cape Le Grand, Esperance, south Western Australia in 3/2013 on a sponge covered limestone reef. The specimen shows a glazed-over fold (crease) mid-dorsal extending down the posterior and anterior ramps. Grade: F++. |
