| Note | Moderately large specimen with prominent ocellating spots on both the anterior and columellar walls and margins. The elongate specimen demonstartes notable inflation, excellent nacre gloss and displays a dominant lateral line. The shell shows excellent form with balanced symmetry. The zebra has a high weight/size ratio for the species, a very collectable charactersitic, and is superb spotted specimen (36.2 grams). The shell was snatched from under coral rubble at the base of a large reef by Scuba diver at 8-10 meters in Lac Bay, Boniare in 3/2018 on a day dive. There is present minor erosion of the protoconch and a perfectly self-repaired mini-chip on the columellar anterior extremity tip. Grade: F+++. |
