| Note | GIANT RARE SIZE WOOOOOW!!! Giant ultra rare size for the species. For advancer CORALLIOPHILIDAE experts and lovers of large species, absent in many collections. There is not much information about this rarity and usually the specimens are rarely seen alive. I found this one alive myself and it has the original, rarely seen operculum. This special specimen was found under a type of soft coral with green coloration and multiple polyps, when I removed some of this soft coral it was attached to the stone under the soft coral, I never imagined to find it completely covered and without any visibility that there would be a specimen there. Really hidden and impossible to find without removing this soft coral. A very mysterious question of how it lived inside this thick soft coral! This unique outstanding and elegant specimen presents elevated ribs with micro multiple scales rarely seen near dorsal lip side, the lip is really colossal and finely with multiple scales and undulated like wings. The most beautiful extended and shiny white aperture. The shell is not a Gem, this species at this giant sizes are most with erosion around the spire btu still really elegant and intact int the aperture side. F++-F+++. Found attached under soft green coral inside the stones at extremely low tide about 1m deep. La Calechosa, Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2025.
