| Note | At virtually 50 mm, this is the LARGEST and FINEST specimen of the JES Collection of this RARE, EXTREME DEEP-WATER, endemic eastern Australian species. Such specimens were only collected during the early 1980s; have never been available since; and are now obtainable only from choice old collections. RARE SIZE. Exemplary quality for the species, and collection method. Definitely for the Ranellidae specialist. Data: Beyond continental slope, off Kiama, New South Wales, Australia; upon mud/sand/detritus substrate; 550-750 m; trawled; 1982. Size: 49.4 mm. Grading: Gem; w/o.
