| Note | Inflated, mature, moderately depressed and richly nacred deep water, hard to find jeaniana classic. Superior dorsal blotch/spotting and unique dorsal line The shell features apricot/peach/brown highlighted margins and extremities with moderate/extra-ordinary lateral wall spotting on apricot highlighted lateral walls. The specimen is modestly rostrated with perfect extremities and aperture. A striking specimen with impressive gloss and shades of russet/chocolate brown accentuating the lovely base. The jeaniana shows a moderate misty blue halo. Trawled by Taiwanese boats at 50-100 meters west of Shark Bay, Western Australia in the 70s. There's present a small subnacre fish-bite/blister on the posterior labral base as seen in images and a mini blister mid-dorsum. EX: Don Pisor. GRADE: F+++. |
