| Note | Mature deep water specimen with a superb lateral wall spotting pattern and a notable pristine clear ivory white spotless dorsum. Superbly inflated, excellent nacre gloss and perfect eggshell white /patterned base with harmonious flesh toned/apricot/brown extremities. The specimen shows modest rostration and a moderate weight/size ratio (25.3 grams) with a porcelain white pristine base. The sharp and distinctive spotting climbing the labral lateral wall is a aesthetically desirable characteristic for this subspecies. Snatched from a reef sponge by a "big balls" Scuba diver at 66 meters off Rock Dunder, Two Peoples Bay, east of Albany Coast, Western Australia in 1/1999. The specimen has a fully healed and nacred mid-tip chip on the columellar posterior extremity as seen in images and gives it true character. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
