NoteStrongly glossed, solid, low profile wide specimen that glistens like polished marble. The strongly deltoid Trona is characterized by a modest pitch black dorsal hump, classic dorsal line and splendid patterning. The shell shows a strong weight/size ratio (101.9 grams) and ultra thick strong calloused and flanged margins. The specimen features a heavily glossed base and presents a seamless aperture and teeth. Collected by Scuba diver at 1-3 meters between rock crevices off Pointe des Almadies, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa in 2021. The Trona displays self repaired, smooth and glossed over chip on the ventral columellar anterior extremity. Grade: F+++.
