| Note | Elegant form, excellent symmetry and strongly inflated body characterize this specimen, This species is now a difficult to obtain Australian deep water species. Subdued lateral wall spotting, unique wide dorsal line and thick impressive nacre gloss highlight this beauty. The shell shows a lovely diffused dorsal pattern, with an anterior groove on the nude/beige pigmented moderately calloused anterior extremity. There is some moderate palpable tuberculation of the margins evident. This shell was trawled at 120-150 meters by a prawn boat east of Swains Reef, Queensland, Australia in 2015. The shell shows slight silt stains on the aperture teeth and palpable roughness of the posterior extremity from previous encounters with no visible chips. Grade: F+++. |
