| Note | Modestly large, wonderful wavy varices with light body whorl fawn/brown axial banding colors complemented by antique white base colored varices. The foliatum has excellent morphology, moderate weight/size ratio, perfect siphonal canal, aperture lip and desirable but subdued pigmentation. The specimen is in remarkable condition for the species considering the turbulent ocean conditions in this area. Captured by Scuba diver off Central California on boulders at 8-10 meters circa 90s. The shell shows minor and modest wear of varix edges a small round concavity on the dorsal body whorl. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
