| Note | Superb solid shell, glossy nacre, moderately large and remarkably inflated specimen with an impressive copper brown hued dorsal blotch with an excellent wide dorsal line with two distinctive dorsal spots. The specimen shows apricot/peach hued lateral walls, thick rounded margins, perfect peach/flesh toned base with honey-beige pigmented extremities with moderate rostration. The shell shows moderate weight for its size (82.8 grams). Taken by fish trawler at 120 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Western Australia circa 2005. The shell displays no visible imperfections. Grade: GEM. |
