| Note | Excellent sandstone orange pigmented dorsum, split dorsal line and excellent nacre gloss highlight this unique subspecies. This specimen has acceptable spotting on the mid-dorsum and actually shows considerable inflation. The shell does show noteworthy inflation of the columellar aspect with a bulbous columellar egg shell white lateral walls/margin.The shell has flawless extremities and a subdued brown infused base pattern. The shell was trawled at 140-150 meters in the Taiwan Strait, East China Sea in 12/2014. The shell displays subtle blemishes and white discoloration of the central aperture teeth. Grade: F++/F+++. |
