NoteOne very nice specimen of Crassilabrum crassilabrum. This is a common Muricidae species which lives in the rocky intertidal, where it feeds on cirripedians. This specimen was collected washed ashore among algae rubble and rocks. This is an adult specimen with expanded and thick lip (as it name indicates) and with the denticles in the inner part of the outer lip.
