This carnivorous species inhabits sandy and muddy substrates at depths ranging from 100 to 700 meters, making representative material inherently scarce due to the demanding nature of deep-sea collection. The shell exhibits a pale white ground color, covered by an extremely fine, light yellowish-brown periostracum — a delicate organic layer that is rarely preserved and considerably enhances the specimen’s appeal when present. The surface sculpture is composed of fine, parallel horizontal striae with a subtly roughened texture, imparting a refined yet characteristic appearance to the teleoconch.
