ROV collected from 54 meters of water at Zeewijk Channel, in the southern group of at the Abrolhos Islands off Geraldton, Western Australia. A rare beauty with a brown spotted dorsum, high pinky cream sides and a tan a base. Graded Gem - due to one tiny silt inclusion near the posterior siphon. We recently relocated our vessel to Geraldton for it's annual refit and had a look at the location we have found bataviensis in the past. We looked for two days and found only three specimens. They appear to be pretty thin on the ground and as there are now virtually no dive collected shells being taken, we have decided a price re rate is in order.
