Absolutely gigantic specimen! This comes from a population of Pagodula that live in shallower waters (90-120) than normally Pagodula echinata would do (>400 m), and has some particular features that is making some autors think that this may be a different species. This features are a generally larger size, dark yellow colour and expanded external lip. This specimen is among the biggest I've seen. Trawled by fishermen at 90-120 m deep, Piombino, Italy, 1990's.
