A magnificent, large-sized specimen of Umbilia hesitata from a private collection established between the 1950s and 2010. Trawled at 60 fathoms off Ceduna in August 1984. This specimen carries significant provenance and high value, accompanied by two original data labels, including the authentic tag from the renowned "Napoleon's Seashells" (Dampier, W.A.). At 98.01mm, it is an impressive, near-trophy sized example of the species. The shell exhibits a superb high-gloss dorsum with rich orange-brown spotting over a creamy-white base. Weight: 77.0g. Grade: F+++/GEM.
