NoteHere is a SUPER WEIRD specimen. One half of this shell would fit in with many other C.rottnestensis whilst the other side is HIGHLY WARPED and TWISTED! This shell has great DARK COLOUR and lovely LARGE SPOTS on the dorsum which are surrounded by a strong blue halo! Towards the anterior end of the shell there is an uneven deposit of calcium which has given the shell quite a bizarre shape which continues onto the base with a highly unusual EXTRA WIDE APETURE. Great condition for a dead collected shell with minimal loss of the gloss and only a tiny green algae spot on the nose of the anterior end being the only flaw I can see.
