| Note | A very unusual specimen from a new location. This specimen was found south of Santa Cruz on the small island of Seymour and is distinguished from other specimens by the blue/purple color of the apical disc. I don't know if this is some kind of population characteristic, but it looks very unusual. In the second photo, you can see a comparison of this specimen with a specimen from the south (the second specimen is not included in the lot). This species is not rare or protected in the Galapagos, but it is impossible to get. The guy who helped me with shells refused to help with the transportation of sea urchins. As he explained - customs and border guards in the Galapagos, when checking luggage, first of all pay attention to the possible transportation of eggs of endemic reptiles (iguanas and turtles).
