| Note | Bonaire, southern Caribbean. This species was once found on both Curaçao and Bonaire, but is now extinct on Curaçao. Bonaire is a protected area where collecting has long been prohibited. A rare species in any condition, only available from old collections. This large specimen shows a nice dark colour and is in relatively good condition compared to my other specimens. Grade: (F++ or F++/F+++) - This auction, I will be posting exclusively Caribbean specimens, mostly from Aruba. The next auction will feature a broader range of shells from various locations. |
