| Name | Trimusculus peruvianus - Rare , (G. B. Sowerby I, 1835) |
| Size | 24.4 and 17.9 mm |
| Locality | Caldera, northern Chile |
| Note | Two nice specimens of the rare pulmonate marine gastropod Trimusculus peruvianus. This is the only species of Trimusculus found in continental Chile, and it is a rare species which lives in crevices and the underside of boulders at the upper intertidal level. These specimens have a nice shiny interior of the shell and a dorsum with a bit and a lot of erosion, as can be seen in the images. A very low initial price for an interesting and rare marine limpet. |
